Just not for me. I also found the poems repetitive and sometimes random and without connection to what was being discussed a few pages before.

so poetry, is decidedly not my thing, but i fairly enjoyed this and am also trying to broaden my horizons and see what the is just so great about poetry.
i loved the concept and there were definitely some poems i took to heart.

Popsugar 2021: A book by a blogger, vlogger, YouTube video creator, or other online personality.
I found the first quarter of the poetry really tired and familiar from spending my adolescence on Tumblr. It improved after that but I found it too repetitive to ever read again. I did enjoy it though.
I can see why it's so popular and I think if I'd read it when I was younger, it would have felt a lot more profound and breathtaking. It would have been a very empowering to read this when I was heartbroken.

I was drawn because of the cover. Just look at it! And I just I picked it up on a whim a few days ago because I was in the mood for a short book. Little did I know that I will be finishing it in one sitting and LOVING it.
Your Soul is a River is a poetry collection. I am not well versed in this genre but I did not expect to love it as much as I did. It's about loving and losing someone, betrayal, moving on, being strong and learning to love yourself. It almost felt like a journey reading it. How can you not relate to this if you're not human? I cried reading some of the poems it was quite an experience. A roller coaster of emotions. I never loved metaphors as much as I did reading this. It was basically word porn.
I already feel like I'm going to go back to this book over and over.

You ever hear the chorus of a song somewhere and go to hell and beyond to find the whole song.. then once you find the song you realise you don like the song as much as you anticipated.. that's how reading this was.
this was just absolutely beautiful. this will definitely be sticking with me for a long time. the poems just spoke to my soul.
