He was so obsessed but so sweet, he kept deferring to her and letting her know she’s in control. And to just trust him and let go. She did start to annoy me with the push back and all that. I get why but I love it when they are like Tru and just don’t give af about the bad stuff he does 💀
“Oh, for fuck’s sake. Fine. I’ll stay here for a few hours. I don’t want to believe you’ll keep your word, but I do. Mostly. Against my better judgment.” Then she props her hands on her hips and sends me her signature glare. “So don’t screw it up, okay?” I say solemnly, “I’d rather die than disappoint you.”
“Because you… inexplicably… like me.” He reaches out and gently brushes his knuckles over my cheek. His gaze follows the path of his touch. He says softly, “It’s not inexplicable. I like you the way Newton liked gravity.” “I don’t know what you mean.” “Once he found it, everything else in the universe made sense.”
“You make me want to live a different kind of life. You make me want to be a different kind of man. Juliet. Juliet. You are why every love song was ever written.”
“How can you seem like the perfect guy—except you’re a gangster? What the hell does it all mean?” After a moment, he says, “Well, nobody’s perfect.”
“Watching Juliet sleep, I realize that my entire life leading up to this moment has been prologue. I’ve been waiting for the first act to begin.”
He was just down bad! It was amazing. Like this dude donated 100M to Red Cross as an engagement gift to her cause she once asked him to donate 1M😭
I’m also obsessed with her friends, the three musketeers, they are hilarious; ……“Which means—if he really did hack a satellite and that wasn’t just BS—he’s got some mad skills for your garden-variety gangster.” “Maybe he was like a programmer for Google before he went bad.” “That is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.”

Killian and Juliet were so sweet. These heroes are cinnamon rolls really, not morally grey, and I kinda loved that.
4⭐️Even though this was a slower burn I liked it more than book 1! There was more action and plot. There were definitely hilarious parts too! I liked that Killian was a triple threat and Juliet couldn’t figure him out. I love that the brothers are romantics and go all in for their women.

An easy, quick, mafia boss Insta Love binge read with Chris Hemsworth role play. If you’re into that, then you might just like this!
The smut as always was well written, MMC needed to chill sometimes though. The love was passionate, however the FMC was more childish than sassy and the MMC doesn’t know how to NOT smother the love of his life, like, give the girl space! But that’s something I expect with these reads, it’s just the way it was written was akin to a game of cat and mouse which became a little repetitive in the end, they both knew what they want & were just dragging it out. It became predictable.
Their banter was fun to read though.
One thing i will say is, once again, Hello doesn’t need to be spelt as “Hullo” when an Irish character is speaking, its annoying. The role play was so random but it surprisingly wasn’t that cringey, at all.
