Was excited for Killian's story with Juliet, which was supposed to be a mix of Romeo and Juliet x Robin Hood, but it fell a little flat for me. Killian's popped up in a couple of books so I was looking forward to seeing his story. No epilogue in this one.

Fun read. A little repetitive and predictable but still had me laughing and kicking my feet
I was anxiously and excitedly waiting to read Killian Black’s story and it was better than I could have expected. This Irishman is just as hot and domineering as his brother Liam and Juliet is not falling for it. Having been raised with these “made men” she swore she would escape that lifestyle and never look back. But Killian is persuasive and relentless in his pursuit and she doesn’t have a hope to escape his charisma.

I loved every thing, every word, almost every character ( not the bad guys) in this book. Truthfully, the entire series has been spectacular. Killian and Juliette burned up the pages and all I wanted at the end was more.
I absolutely enjoyed this book. This book is a reminder of why I started reading J.T. Geissinger's books in the first place! I might be biased because J.T. Geissinger is my favorite romance author, but she makes the characters come to life with so much emotion and vivid detail. Juliet in the story is the epitome of women who are trying to correct their lives from their upbringing. I loved her character... strong, smart, stubborn, and ignorant at the same time! And Killian's character... the mystery, the adaptability, the romance, vulnerability, and sexiness all rolled into one! Love this book and hoping there is a spin-off for Max and Declan... and maybe fin gets a spinoff too??? Here's to hoping!
4.5 stars - rounded up for Killian.
What this book lacks in plot it makes up for in banter and sass. The two protagonists were hilarious and hot together and Killian made multiple quips that had me laughing out loud.
The story itself wasn’t much. It was a cat and mouse game between the two love interests and it went on way too long. He’d chase her, smoulder, they’d exchange witty banter, she’d run and he’d let her go. Rinse and repeat about ten times. The big crisis of plot was that Juliet didn’t want to be with a gangster, but if you’ve read the first book, Beautifully Cruel, you know the truth of his backstory, so it just ends up being kind of frustrating. Neither gives in until the very end. Other than that there is no other plot or intrigue in this thing. The first book was a much better story, this one was not as good, and yet it’s still worth a read because it’s funny and hot. The narration is fire with the same two narrators as the first book, done in dual narration. Troy Duran is a talented guy and has a voice that could make anything sound sexy. I’d listen to him read me an instructional manual and still be entertained.
