I am overflowing with love for this book.

This book has been the best surprise in many ways:
First, as the first eARC I was approved for on NetGalley.
Then as the third book in a series I had previously contemplated purchasing (but didn’t because the bookstore copies were damaged) and had, until my NetGalley approval, forgotten about.
Next came the writing that swept me up and wrapped me in its magic, even without the first 2 books in the series under my belt to guide my way to these characters and their stories.
And lastly, for a surprising plot line that I was only too happy to see play out in words.

Now, I am stuck in this land of being happy to have read such a wonderful book and sad because it’s over. As I know all too well, this is a book hangover - the kind that I only ever experience after reading a book that I enjoyed very much.

Luckily for me, there are 2 other books in the series that I have every intention of purchasing and reading. As much as I’ll miss Ellowyn and Zander, I look forward to seeing how the journey to them really started.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for letting me read this ARC!

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing.  I have not read the previous two books in the series, but look forward to doing so!
I enjoyed this novel - although the beginning was a bit confusing to me, and I didn’t like how angsty our protagonist was. Even with the confusion, I was quickly hooked by the plot, drawn to the characters, and anxious to know what was coming.
Some of the descriptions seemed repetitive (stormy eyes, for example), and the book contained a couple typos.  However, this was a win for me.

I was given an electronic advance-readers-copy of this book through the Netgalley App. This book is the third book in the Witchlore series- I highly recommend reading the first two Witchlore books (Small Town, Big Magic and Big Little Spells) to fully appreciate and value how amazing this story is! This story follows Ellowyn Good and continues to follow the Riverwood Coven's pursuit for justice against the Joywood, the ruling coven. The Witchlore series first captivated me with Emersyn Wilde's story from her perspective but each story is from a different witch's perspective, making them unique yet interwoven as the story continues across the series. While Emersyn was my favorite character, Ellowyn's character evolution through this book not only resonated with me but also was so believable! I also appreciated how Emersyn's flaws were called into question and her friends, including Ellowyn, pointed out the positives and intentions behind those flaws- sharing that your friends love you inspite of, and because of, your flas. I absolutely loved the family dynamics and friendships. Hazel Beck continues the epic storyline and makes the book both plot and character driven. The growth you see of the characters in each book is one of my favorite pieces and Truly, Madly, Magically is no exception. This story includes themes of friendship, love, and good vs. evil.  I cannot wait for the release of this book in August to share it with all of my friends.
