I didn't expect to love this story as much as I'm loving it right now, and this is the first 5* danmei I've read this year.
I love how the plot is exactly like what the synopsis gave us. It's straightforward, we know that the the ML will die three times, transmigrated three times, and that our MC will marry him three times. However, that doesn't mean that I didn't cry my eyes out when I read those death scenes, especially the second death. It broke me as much as it broke the MC.
I love their love, and how they love each other. I mean how can I not love this “power couple doing bad things together” dynamic? Both the ML and MC are extraordinarily smart, and we can see that in how they carry themselves. I particularly love how the ML is observant towards people around him especially because we know how much he doesn't care for other things except for the MC and sleeping.
They accept and love each other as who they are, and I think that's the best part of their dynamic. The ML told the MC this, “Don't baobei, do what you want to do. If you change yourself for our relationship then that'll make me a scumbag.” He doesn't try to change the MC or ask him to do things the MC doesn't want to do. He enables and encourages the MC which I find both amusing and hilarious.
Also, I love how there was no miscommunication or misunderstanding between them. They are very honest and blunt with each other, it leaves no space for any misunderstanding to occur and I'll be honest, I hate miscommunication trope. I think this is also why their relationship is so strong, their trust in each other is a very solid foundation. Also, the very reason why I love this couple so much.
I love the extras, I wish we had more actually because it's so fun reading them in a modern setting.
This is a very good novel, I wish we had more but it's really good. Please read it.

I'm done, I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this story, from the main to extra chapters to a point I'm not sure if I like the ancient one or their time in modern life
I still wanna know about the crown prince tho hahaha, but I guess huaisi isn't in love with him that much, he seems to be more happy with newly founded friendship with our main couple more
He goes from npc to beloved side character ahh and qingyu my baobei, he is just so cute, he really went from cold detached personality to a cute and clingy wife, and he's so smart, and beautiful and perfect and that's truly match with jiang xing, I said it before and I'll say it again, jiang is simply best gong so far for me, he tick every box of best quality gong ever
The switch between ancient and modern theme also goes align, they fit in anything setting, if they were to stuck in ABO universe, no doubt it will also be fit them
Wish I can erase to re-experience it, but maybe rereading isn't bad either tho I'm not fan of rereading gang

One of the best danmei i have ever read. Everything is too good
Ok first of all these two are disgustingly cute and I very much enjoyed all the fluff we got, ESPECIALLY the modern extras (I want a full book ngl).
Well there's not much to say, the plot is literally in the summary. Did it devastate me every time ML (ig his name is a spoiler??) died? Definitely. I was ugly crying.
Did I also want to strangle some characters and hug the others? Also definitely.
Not to mention, the side characters that are lovable got their own happy endings and I couldn't be happier.
All in all, if you're into romance more than politics, this is definitely for you. Also if you like the trope "Couples that do bad things together stay together", then this is definitely for you.
