This series just gets better and better! The emotional roller coaster starts from the very beginning, and I felt like I couldn't take a deep breath until I reached the end. I cried, I got angry, there is suspense, twists and turns, and the romance between Kai and Logan is heating up. I love how well developed the characters are, and the story line is strong. There is a perfect blend between adventure and romance. I highly recommend this series to all urban fantasy lovers!

I loved this book! Despite the sadness that Kai experiences and the surprises from The Alpha Council. Logan and Kai have certainly heated up and I'm not sad about that.

Failure, betrayal, love, suspicion ... so much more!

Read it ... you will not be unhappy that you did!

I read this book as an Advanced reader copy and now I am writing my honest review.

Having just returned from the Graylands and after losing her sister Greer, Kai is determined to find and save her friend Anjelo and her mother from Wrythiin as soon as she is able. Taking only Lily with her on this mission they quickly find out Anjelo is free and working within the Rebel Army of Wraiths while Celeste is still very much a prisoner and being moved often. They join the Rebel Army, under the leadership of Illyria, and wait for a chance to finally get Kai's mother out of there. But unfortunately (and as always), things aren't that easy... or straightforward.

My take on the book:
I absolutely love the world the author created! There are so many layers we get to experience and with a silent promise of much more to come.

This was another excellently written book, pacing was good (maybe just a tad too long with the Rebel Army, but that could just be me being way too impatient :p) and I found no errors to speak of.

Character development was great, there were several new characters we got to know a little of and we got more insight into our little band of adventurers, our so diverse group of budding friends who prioritise helping each other over the organisations they work for. I applaud the author for making the characters so real, they all share an innate drive for doing the right thing, but with a strong sense of self and a certain 'edge' to it.

This is just such a great series, you feel emotionally invested and where the previous book had me in tears, this one filled me with determination and a fierce need for Kai to find and rescue her mother.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and as this feels like one chapter closing in Kai's story, I'm absolutely looking forward to what we get to see in the next instalment.

Oh and you might want to check out book 1 and 2 of the SoulTracker series by now to have a different view of the past events!
