Faz o filme parecer legalzinho
Nota 1/5= patético
Leitura= 02/2020

im actually soooooooo normal about twilight
ok so confession - i have never read twilight before. or seen the movies.
until 2024.
FUCK THAT WAS GOOD???
now i will say. yes the book is cringe at points. like when edward literally eats bella's tears.
and also meyer is um. Odd! like calling jacob "indian"....... Erm!
but i did in fact gobble this book up so. i think im at fault here.
i don't know why i was so addicted to this book but i swear to god its laced with crack.
ummmm i actually cant put how i feel into words.
the ending ate, the story ate, the characters ate (shout out alice u remind me i like women), the pacing, everything (minus the cutesy-cringe moments & the microaggressions....)
i hate you alastair because im an addict. i need my next twilight fix.

I feel like I might just be giving this book a 4 stars because I love the twilight series. But once you get passed the beginning and the Wattpad vibe I personally think it's a really good book and I love the twilight series.

Reread.
Sadly, this time I noticed how cringe the book actually is, but 25% in didn’t notice it anymore. I still like Edward even though I knew that the age difference is weird but you know who cares, it’s a book and it’s a product of its time. Bella really had to be not like other girls but also self deprecating

I picked this up as a buddy read with a friend because I had never read it and was curious about all of the hype surrounding it.
"Twilight" is the vampire sensation story of Bella and Edward. When Bella moves to a new town, she was not expecting to fall for the elusive, mysterious Edward. But she falls headfirst in love with him, even after discovering his secret.
This book aged moderately well. There are definitely some references and aspects of this book that are immediate indicators that it was written in the early 2000's, but overall, I was surprised that it did not feel too dated. I was also surprised that I think the story holds up for what it is. I can appreciate why everyone loved this story before, and why people are still enamored with it today.
My biggest reservations with this story are with Bella. Bella fell so hard and so fast for Edward that it felt entirely unreal. She was willing to give up so much for him so quickly, but I think it is unfortunately true of a teenaged character experiencing "love" for the first time. Bella also just felt two dimensional. There did not seem to be anything special about her and she was not the most interesting character to read from. She seems so overly concerned with taking care of her father and making sure she cooks him dinner, but she wants to spend no time with him.
I can also see that there is a love triangle brewing, and it feels like the most 2000's, unnecessary plot point about this book. Bella does not even see Jacob in that way, and he does not stand a chance because she has so willing given all of herself to Edward right off the bat. There is no contest, so why even have it in the book?
Will I continue with this serious? Perhaps, out of curiosity.

This is fine. Sure, there are a lot of corny moments at the point of cringe, but still okay. I don't like the super long chapters; not a fan.

Bella has a funny mind. She's opinionated, clumsy, and awkward and I love that. I also like that she reads books for fun. Oh, I also love the part where she prepares and cooks in the kitchen a lot of times.

Edward on the other hand is toxic basically.  The horrors of the vampire life aren't mentioned that much, it might have been interesting.

Jacob was chill and funny.✨

By the way, didn't Bella even realize that she might have liked or loved Edward because it's part of the vampire stuff? I mean, teenage hormones, I guess? But yeah, I sensed that she had a death wish.

Poor Charlie, he had no idea.

Oh well, thanks, Stephenie❤️

Decided to reread this, I read it in middle school and used to be a fan but decided to revisit. Whether you like or hate it, its such a landmark in pop culture; I never take it seriously, it’s a fun read if you just like shallow paranormal romances.
