It has been a while since I read the last book written by Trudi Canavan.
I enjoyed discovering a new world in this first instalment of the trilogy of the Age of the Five.
And then came the bird people. How can you not love them, and their main exponent in this story, so inventive and curious and utterly himself.
It is a story about alliances and surviving as an individual as well as a people.
Very well written and the narration by Sarah Douglas is superb.
