This story was miles better than the previous volume. Poe really comes into his own. He finds out information is leaking and there must be a spy somewhere and he is concerned. So C3PO tells him of the network of informations they fun and they go to find a droid. Terex is waiting for them and the cat and mouse game is on again.

The action mostly made sense and the characters had more focus and voice here than previously. I had fun reading it unlike the first volume. The one thing that didn’t happen is we do find out who was the leaker, but Poe doesn’t find out as far as we know at the end. I guess we are to assume he does. Still, this was a good outing and Poe and 3Po have chemistry. It worked well. I almost think these novels have been better than the movies, well, the last movie before Luke was ruined anyway.

I’ll continue on.

The Black Squadron might be the closest we get to The Rogue Squadron in the Legends. If it continues in the same way, I'm okay with it.

Volume 2 was a big improvement over the first volume. The characters all had pretty significant development, the story was consistently engaging and entertaining. I even enjoyed a cameo from a certain droid that appears elsewhere in Star Wars canon.

People had told me the Poe Dameron comics were good. Now I know they are! Very eager to continue this series. Poe is such a frustrating character in the movies, it’s great to see more of him and his backstory here.

This is Star Wars comic book writing, and the work of the LucasFilm Story Group, at it's very best. What a terrific volume of comics, featuring the best and most positive new character from the New Trilogy.

It's got a bit of everything: space battles, undercover intrigue, humor, and lore. Seven issues, rather than six, was absolutely the right call for this story, as it avoided what has been common in some of the Star Wars books (as with many comics): a hurried conclusion. Instead, issue #13 (Part VII) was the best of the run, featuring one of the best moments of crossover storytelling since the canon relaunch, mixing elements of The Force Awakens, the current Poe Dameron series, and Chuck Wendig's trilogy-of-increasing-quality, Aftermath. It took a series of good moments throughout the era and made them, and their characters, great. The reader gets to step into Poe's shoes and just enjoy it, and I'm hard pressed to remember a more satisfying moment in the last year of the comics.

Poe might be the best book of the six going right now, and I'm thrilled that Soule is going to keep this one going beyond the short run that Kanan enjoyed. Hopefully it, and its quality, continues on as long as it can, and that they'll ind a way to dovetail its ending with the beginning of TFA in a manner befitting Poe.

This is such an improvement on the first issue, I almost cant believe it. The bland villain is given a bit of backstory and development that, though nothing wholly original, reads well and makes the guy actually feel threatening. As for Poe, he's joined by C-3PO and a rather strange plot where Threepio is some sort of master spy. It's weird, but it works.
