I loved this book! Couldn't tell from the five stars, could ya? I have been looking forward to reading this book for a while and it definitely puts a new spin on Cinderella. Think the addition of science fiction elements, such as cyborgs, androids, and hover crafts. I loved Cinder as a character and adored her relationship with Kai, though of course I wanted to shake her into telling him the truth. Can't wait to get a hold of the second book, Scarlet!

I feel like I’m a kid again reread this series

I really thought that this was a series of stand-alone and the end of this book just told me that I was so wrong. I didn't was expecting too much of this book and I think that's why I like it. I was really into the world and I had mixed feelings with the pandemic theme.

About the characters, I liked Kai and Cinder, but I don't think I liked them enough. I felt everything super slow because I didn't know this was actually a series. I loved Iko, with every thing he said I was laughing my ass off.

I think I would have liked it better if the characters had their happy ending at the end of the book. But well, I want to see how it ends, so I will continue with the series.

A feminist fairy tale that taught me to love sci-fi. It's Star Wars meets Cinderella, with a lot more C3P0 than glass slippers. I can't think of anything like it. With magic and science like THE SCORPION RULES and relationships like THE PENDERWICKS.

I randomly decided to reread The Lunar Chronicles (and hopefully finally read Winter). I was a bit scared because I adored this when I first read it back in 2016, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. This book stands the test of time, I loved it again ! I'll keep the 5 stars because that's the rating 16 yrs old me gave the book, and I'm a sentimental woman.

I appreciated this book. Maybe some of the tropes weren't original but the story itself was. I haven't seen old fairytales with a sci-fi take on them before, just a retelling with a small twist to it. It left some questions for the next book, but given that I am moving on to the next book, they are good questions.

This was a fun twist on the classic story. Sometimes so far from the original, it was hard to tell, but I thought it was very entertaining.
