This is the second book in the "Seven Sins" series and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

We get to see more of Ari and Eva in this book. And we especially get more of Eva as she discovers more of herself. Both Ari and Eva are navigating what life means outside of the Commonwealth and where they fit into that and the Brotherhood.

I love how they continue to battle the way they were raised. The way they were made to make things of 'sinning', such as caring for one another, was bad but they can easily see that is wrong. They see others care for one another, and continue to fall fastly for one another.

Some favorite quotes:
-Eva: "I am a flame and a shadow, I tell my reflection sternly. Fear is the enemy. Fear is the force that breaks the strongest of men. But it will not break me".

Potential SPOILER Ari: "'I would marry you,' I say, 'if such a path lay open to me. I would bring you wine and a poet's words, pile a bed high with the petals of a thousand flowers, for the pleasure of crushing them again our weight. I'd stand in front of whoever mattered and vow to honor you forever, to protect you with my body and worship you with the same..."

I can't wait to finish this amazing trilogy!
