Wow. I immediately knew this was a 5 star book as soon as I finished it. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since putting it down. The writing was beautiful and thought provoking. The plot was incredibly unique and the world building was really interesting. The fact that this book can be interpreted in many ways makes it special and a different experience for each reader. I can’t wait to re-read it knowing the ending - I bet there were a lot of things hinted at that I missed. What a wonderful mix of fantasy, realistic fiction, and mystery/thriller. I recommend this to anyone who wants a unique read with elements of fantasy, parallel worlds, mystery, and philosophy/psychology.

I absolutely adored the relationship between the protagonist and the statues. I also loved how the House brings out the good in this human being. His statements throughout the whole book were pure, innocent, and chaste.

I wasn't  interested in the characters. I was bored with it.
