It was a good, interesting book, but not as good as Charlotte’s Web.  It felt a little pointless and meandering at times, like Stuart’s own journey.  There were times when Stuart was a bit annoying.

Just finished reading this to the kids tonight. It was the first chapter book Melanie wanted to keep up after the first 10 minutes. I don't really know what she liked about it so much, but it went pretty well and took around a month to get through.
It's funny to me that I didn't like the end the first time I read it because tonight I liked it a lot.

I thought this book was a good story. Funny parts, and exciting parts, and sad parts. I would have given it 4 stars, but I didn't think the end was that great.

Oh my... This was my first time reading this book, and while it did keep the attention of my 3 boys, we were all left shaking our heads by the end. We were unanimous in thinking that Stuart was a jerk to Harriet and the ending was just way too bizarre and unresolved. Very disappointing, but we look forward to re-reading Charlotte's Web next, which we know is a great book!

Stuart Little was assigned reading for my English class for a novel study. I actually have some pretty fond memories of this book. It was an enjoyable read and I found it especially interesting because I had seen the 1999 movie, which was a common selection for teachers and daycares on snow days. The idea of interpretation and book to film adaptations were entirely new concepts for me so seeing the differences was something that I found really amazing.

2.5 stars for some parts being great, but a lot of issues in this book. Extremely mixed feelings.

The same guy who wrote Charlotte's Web wrote this? Really?!

Also, what's the moral to this story? Run away and don't leave a note, it'll be fine?

I can't believe it's not canon that stuart little was adopted from the orphanage after being spotted reading a copy of "little women" :/

A cute story! My 4yo really enjoyed it.

I found it perfectly charming.

I wasn't particularly impressed with this book. I stopped "listening" at some point and just started doing house chores while my son listened. He seemed ok with it, but he definitely enjoyed some other books more like [b:The Boxcar Children (The Boxcar Children, #1)|297249|The Boxcar Children (The Boxcar Children, #1) |Gertrude Chandler Warner|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1173489650s/297249.jpg|945340]
