Out of all of E.B. White's children's books, I think Stuart Little is my favorite.
adventurous funny lighthearted fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

After discovering Shiloh, I started to devour books. E.B. White's novels were among the ones I constantly read over and over. I'm pretty sure this was one of the first books I began reading aloud in the characters voices. If you've got children who like bedtime stories, this is necessary in the library.

Just finished reading this with my 7 year old after probably 35 years...never read it with any of the other 3 for some reason. It really is a strange, strange book but kind of fun. Odd though. The first half was totally what I remembered and I think what people think of when they think or Stuart Little but the second half...when he gets a car that can go invisible and drives all over the place looking for a bird...that is out there. Just sayin'..

I think I may have read this a long long time ago. I didn’t know a story about a (not) mouse could have so much tragedy and romance.
Oh yeah and now I hate cats.

I don't remember much about it, but I did like it.

WHY DOES IT END BEFORE WE KNOW IF HE FINDS HIS GIRL AGAIN ???

I know it is a classic, but the ending is awful. The story is so fun and then stops.
