Enjoyable ya Vampire themed novel. While I have utterly grown out of ya themed stuff like this, if that is what you're looking for here is a good one.

Sadly, it turned out to be a bit average. Bianca wasn't all that likeable and the plot twist is too unexpected.

So I know I liked this as a teen when I first read it, and now I just see it as an average book. Unsure if that’s because the book is indeed average or because I’ve now reread it and that’s something I just don’t do because it usually doesn’t work out for me lol.

It’s not a bad book, but also not a great book. I hate now, and even hated back when I first read it, the one or even two ‘twists’ on this book. Mainly the first one because it’s purposefully withheld and then it’s like she becomes a completely different person, even how she views things etc.

I wanted to re-read these because I have book 1&2 and I legit don’t know if I ever read 2, but I do know I never got to read anymore in the series and always wanted to. So I’m going to give it a try, whether I make it past book two I don’t know, but I’m up for the next one.

I like this book. It is your average take on vampires- as usual, with the unusual twist. I did enjoy this and i can't wait for the second book to come out. A very unexpected this this was added to the already confused plot. But this twist clears the plot out and it becomes rather obvious (and im not taking about Bianca's herself twist).

It has a romeo and juliet theme, only mixed with vampires.

Hooked onto the series, cant wait for Stargazer

Amazingly suspenseful; I couldn't put it down for a second! Not cliche like most vampire books out there now.

Okay so thankfully this book wasn't the next Twilight - I am so so so thankful for that, but it was sadly close.

I think 3 stars is fair because I was getting a little bored, it just wasn't holding my interest I just wanted to get it over and done with and not enjoy the story... Which is sort of the point of the book, to enjoy it not to rush it.

I felt that up til 40% I either blinked and rushed through the parts where they mentioned she and her parents were vampires or it wasn't mentioned at all.. That wound me up I was like umm why is this not talked about, it was as if the author just went 'And I'm writing Vampire love story for YA' half way through her book... I'm sure I missed it, I'm positive I missed it but I'm not going back to reread, I'm not that bothered..

I may read the next book, its on scribd for free I've already checked, if I had had to pay I wouldn't.

I did not like this book. Although I continued the series despite this, I cannot recommend this. A bit before the halway point, when one of the twists was revealed, I just about lost it. There was no indication whatsoever that showed that this was a possibility. All signs pointed to the most obvious thing, but that was wrong as well. Along with this god awful twist, the book is excrutiatingly slow. It felt like a chore reading this. I have tried to reread this book numerous times, but I can never get through it like I did the first time. I call it a BS book because it just doesn't make any sense after the first twist.

There were several unique twists to Evernight that made it stand out from other vampire romances. Unlike many YA books, this one allowed the MC to have a relationship with her parents. Unfortunately, while the dialogue was really smooth, I didn't really enjoy the chemistry, or get invested in the character development.

i was just complaining to someone that i'm sick to death of teen supernatural romances, but i bought this one a couple of months ago and it reached the top of my pile. so far i'm enjoying it!

**

this sucked me right in. harharhar. but actually, it did. the writing is not great, but i loved the gothic boarding school setting and the twisty surprises. the delivery of the 1st twisty surprise bothered me, but i just don't have it in me to get worked up about it.

as twilight read-alikes go, this one is solid. although i haven't decided yet if i'm going to finish the series. i may be able to leave well enough alone.
