Honestly can’t believe this was written by the same person the characters feel so much more mature and even the writing style feels like it’s evolved so much. I love how they called out the miscommunication trope and actively avoided it. I’m pleasantly surprised!

I loved everything about this book. Russ and Aurora are my favorite couple by far, and I think they suit each other so incredibly well. I enjoyed the little cameos by the other characters, and I really hope we get cameos from Russ and Rory in the future books. The epilogue made me so incredibly happy. Just seeing that Russ’s dad cleaned himself up.. it made me so happy. The end made me love Rory’s mom 🥹. Overall, I give this book 5/5 stars, a spot on the Hall of Fame shelf, and I’d definitely read it again.

I think I enjoyed this one much more than icebreaker! It was beautiful to see Aurora and Russ navigate their family issues and trauma while also falling in love. For a book with deep, challenging issues it still felt cozy and fun. I loved the slow burn aspect which kept me wanting for more and made reading really exciting.
