for a sequel, this was cute. i don’t think it stands up against Icebreaker, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t like this one. The characters having a mutual family relationship issue was a nice common ground that I wouldn’t have expected, however I do think it led to a little bit of trauma bonding. Which I guess works out for this couple ha. There was a lull in the middle of this for me, I definitely think this could’ve been shorter than it is. Overall though, a cute strangers to lovers, forced proximity type of read. I liked revisiting existing characters from the first book and having some callbacks to that one as well. I am eager to finish up this series with the next upcoming book being released this year.
Moderate: Drug abuse
