I always love the the writing of John O'Donohue and the collection, put together after his death, is no exception. Luminous as always!

Probably the best & most universal & profound book on God I have ever read.

John O’Donahue is one of the most influential thinkers in my life right now. I happened upon this title. It’s quirky: these are transcripts of radio shows he did. Some resonated more than others, but the ones on wonder and on old age were full of cyst realized wisdom. So glad I found this book.

“Where the imagination is alive, wonder is completely alive. Where the imagination is alive, possibility is awake because imagination is the great friend of possibility. Possibilities are always more interesting than their facts.”

If y’all have not read John O’Donohue yet, please PLEASE do yourself a favor and grab some of his work or listen to the On Being podcast with his interview. I love his deep and quiet wisdom, the way he sees all the world integrated, and the desire he has to see wonder in the world and most importantly in ourselves. So, so good!

Based in Catholic Mysticism, there is a lot to be found here. And if you want to pick it up, make sure to be rooted in biblical truth, but don't be afraid of what O'Donohue has to say.
O'Donohue knows his readers are spiritual creatures, able to reason and feel. Therefore he does not talk down to you, or over-explain. Instead, each sentence lets you explore and play with the world of truth and spirit.
Don't rush this one. It's meant to be savored. A book that I will return to, time and time again.
