This book was so validating for me. I’ve long struggled to identify that one thing that I wanted to dedicate myself to. A couple of times I’ve kidded myself that I’ve found it, but try as I might, I can’t not find myself drawn towards other things as well. Right now, I’m exploring writing, freelance editing and writing, and accounting. But life has so much to offer and there’s a whole host of other areas I would love to explore one day, and this book made that feel okay. I’m a multipotentialite! It’s definitely a book that I will revisit to soak up inspiration and guidance.

This book was a game-changer for me and has started me on a completely new and exciting path for my life. For anyone who is passionately curious about a large number of topics or feels like one career path (or even two or three) will never be enough- this book is for you.
You'll learn about what it means to be a multipotentialite, how you can make it work for you, and how you can overcome obstacles you'll face along the way.
I've already recommended this book to several friends when I spot them as multipotentialites and know I'll be sharing it with many more people!

Unlike most of the reviews I've read, for me this one had a slow start and got better as it went along. This book is a nice option if you'd like to consider other ways of thinking about an acceptable career path and/or you'd like to start contemplating how you might incorporate your many interests into a fulfilling lifestyle. I don't think you'll get all of your answers with this one, but it could get you moving forward.

I listened to the audiobook and while it was great for taking in the content, there are exercises in the book that really must be completed while referring to a physical book. Wapnick does an amazing job of dispelling the notion that there is a one true calling for individuals. She supports the idea that one need not specialize in order to be successful and lists the gifts inherent in those choices. I really resonated with multipotentialites leaving something not because it has gotten too hard, but because it has gotten too easy. I'm planning on picking up the print book to work through the exercises soon.

3.5 stars for this one. This audiobook started off really well, and I was really getting into it because I am someone who has never had just one passion, and sticking with one job is hard for me when I'm constantly discovering new interests I want to pursue. I like that there are a lot of examples given for how to work with your different areas of interest, instead of advice on picking just one. I think the different questions, charts and approaches included will definitely be great for referencing in the future. I felt like towards the end it started to feel repetitive, though. It wasn't a really long audiobook to begin with, so while I appreciated the information about multipotentialites (including the fact that that's a thing) it just fell sort of flat towards the end.

This book was so empowering! Though at times it felt simplistic, I loved how Emilie Wapnick seeks to help multipotentialiates flourish and provides a framework for understanding how they work best and how they can achieve happiness through their work.

I have followed Emilie's blog for years and have identified as a "multipotentialite" ever since I first watched her TED talk. I was so excited when I first saw she was releasing a book and it didn't disappoint! The most useful part of this book for me was reading about the different work models for multipotentialites, but the book as a whole is inspiring and reassuring. I also love how Emilie reminds the reader that the concepts and models she mentions are completely malleable.

Very Repetitive.
