So your best friend is getting is engaged. She's been putting off the wedding planning, when the finance takes the palnning into his own hands + surprises her. 

She freaks out and realizes she doesn't want to marry him. 

He has already booked their honeymoon, so she takes her best friend. 

Her best friend has had feelings for her forever - she even asked her to a high school dance, but she was afraid of being ostracized for liking girls. 

It temporarily hurt their friendship, but she worked to keep it together. 

But on this fake honeymoon, she is learning to voice what she wants and she wants her best friend. 

They are having a love / sex fueled vacation, but then real-world creeps back in. 

She finds out the best friend quit her job to go on the honeymoon and freaks out - she says some mean things -- basically like you always do what I want, have you been obssessed with me forever? 

They come back from the honeymoon and take time apart. 

The BFF that quit her job decides to give woodworking as a full-time gig a shot and accepts that she'll go back to being friends with her BFF. 

They miss each other. 

They get back together.

I never thought I'd complain about "smut," but i feel like the balance to the story wasn't there, and it just missed the mark for me.

The scenes themselves were good - but between the miscommunication and half break up (when it wasn't really a break up?), it just didn't do it for me.
