I thoroughly enjoy any book written by Meryl Wilsner, and My Best Friend’s Honeymoon was no exception. I was drawn into the long lasting friendship between Elsie and Ginny. I especially enjoyed the personal growth of Ginny, in branching out from having a job she hated to one where she enjoyed her work. This story features a third act breakup that really jostled the pacing of the story. While the ending does resolve many of the issues surrounding aforementioned break up, it really felt like it was just shoved onto the end of the story last minute. I would have liked to have seen it fleshed out more. I have My Best Friend’s Homeymoon 4 stars as overall it was an enjoyable book.

The obligatory

fight they had in the third act PISSED me off to no ends! It was so forced and manufactured.

Other than that though the book was quite cute and a very pleasant read.

I usually like this author's books, but this one just didn't hit for me

Mostly good, but those last few chapters really shat the bed. These two are codependent as hell, but when 1 of them realizes it,

she breaks off their day old relationship. The fight comes out of nowhere, even follows a 4 day sex marathon. Like, it was fine that your friend was obsessed with you when you were in bed, but not when they left their job for multiple reasons, one of those reasons being to join you on your honeymoon.

And like, she's all torn up about ending the engagement, not from losing a long-term relationship, bit because of what other people might think. She didn't give a single fuck about her fiance. Like, why were you with the man in the first place???
Anyway, I fell asleep during the penultimate chapters cuz i was so over the whole miscommunication/fighting over nothing section. Author uses the word "cunt" too many times as well
