This was really cute! I thought both characters were relatable and sweet. Poor Derek though, I hope he finds love, what a golden retriever.

This was such a fun read. I don’t love a miscommunication trope, but my love for the main characters kept me locked in. The premise of the book gets a 10/10 for me.

I'm disappointed in this. First the book is so short and felt like both everything and nothing happened all at the same time. It was childhood friends to lovers and yet I felt no yearning or longing from either of them. The romance happened so quickly and then didn't stop until their conflict which was stupid. I really liked Cleat Cute from this author and I did slightly enjoy one of their novels, but I think they are a pass for me from now on. This just missed the mark. Very much showing instead of telling. I thought this was going to be enjoyable and it wasn't. I don't even know if I'd classify this as a "read" book because I feel like I just really skimmed everything
