Whilst I did really enjoy my first dive into Agatha Christie, the latter third didn’t blow me away like I had hoped. The writing after a while, felt like a lot of telling rather than showing, and began to get a bit repetitive.
Also, lots of parts leading up to the big reveal felt very convenient? All of a sudden Poirot had just come up with the answer to solve the mystery.
It was however an enjoying read overall, and I would like to read more from Christie’s collection in the future!

One of my favorite of the Poirot novels, but I suppose that's the coldest take I could ever say. It was also the first one I read, and I hold it close to my heart. A riveting mystery with wonderful characters and a great voice throughout it all!

This is probably one of the most well known Agatha Christie books so I'm glad I finally read it.
The premise and mystery were interesting, I really liked that everything was contained to the train, it made for a unique setting. I really liked the ending and the chapter where everything was revealed piece by piece. My only problem was there were just SO MANY characters that it was hard to keep track of everyone, especially when things were revealed towards the end.
