I had started this series a couple months ago but had read the fifth book without realizing it but I am glad that I am finally reading the series in order to understand it better.

I had some problems finding into the book but then I loved it. It really has some Kristen Ashley vibe who I worship by the way.
Some things weren't fully completed in my opinion but it really was a great couple and I loved how sweet they were together *_*
At some points I also wanted the heroine to really step up and rip into her parents and ex husband but unfortunately she didn't do that. But at least she ripped into the head master at the academy. Go girl!!!
So all in all an really good read with great characters and secondary characters (even though they didn't get much playtime)

It took me a minute to get into this story. The whole instant love is not for me. I also had a hard time with the fact that the MMC King constantly used the pet name babe. I actually like the pet name but it was used in pretty much every time he talked. It all felt a bit clunky.
I felt a bit icky at the fact he was in high school even though he was 18 and legally an adult. But over all I ended up enjoying their story. I really liked their relationship and Kings Possesiveness over Cressida.

3 stars.
I didn't hate this. It was fun and a source of escapism which leads me rate it higher than I probably should. My issue was that it was that the repetition was incessant with this book. Conversations happen numerous times and conflicts are reused and recycled again + again.
I also think this was just far too taboo. I was assured that it wouldn't feel as such but that was wrong...so wrong. I cannot condone the grossness of this situation and, whatsmore, being reminded of the gross factor (you guessed it) repeatedly.
I still, however, stand by three stars because there were real glimmers of 'I could like this' in here.

DNF at 64%. Holy shit was it tough to get as far as I did. King is annoying as hell, doesn’t speak in full sentences, and manipulates her not only about him being her student but throughout the whole book. And at every opportunity he’s a chauvinist ass. Pretty much every character is insufferable and there are continuity errors throughout the book.
4,5 ⭐ for some cringey phrases and the insistence of the author to show that, yes he is 18, but everything he does is sooo manly
