I couldn’t wrap my head around the deliberate lack of the word “I”. I genuinely don’t understand how someone can write a book and never use the word I. It threw me off constantly. The MMC and FMC had potential but it just wasn’t there, the FMC gave me predatory vibes the way she described her students, and “his boyish charm had me fidgeting” like? Ma’am?? I don’t know. I don’t recommend this book for others. If you’re interested in a biker forbidden love trope book there are plenty of others to choose from
I started reading this series from book 2, but enjoyed that one so much I went back to book 1 and sis…I was not disappointed.

I thought for sure I was going to love this novel, but I just couldn't fully immerse myself into the story. I found myself bored at times and had to take multiple breaks. It doesn't help that the heroine, a grown adult, acted more like a teenager than the actual teenager in the story. The way she thirst after the teenage boy was ridiculous. Not to mention the things she said and did... ugh. The only thing keeping this novel from being a two star is the steamy scenes and the last few chapters.

This book was HOT. Where are guys like King at in this world???? Seriously. I’ve never read a book with a younger male student and older female teacher, and this one rocked my world. King was so mature and just wow. Cressida kinda irked me though. I didn’t like how she kept chickening out from King and letting go with the same excuses. Also can we talk about Zeus? *sighs*

4.5 incredible "bone of my bone" stars
5/5 spice
"King was my apple, my Satan, my ultimate fall from grace."

Plot
The plot of this book was so well written. It all tied together so well. Going from mild to hot in just a few chapters, and only getting hotter the more you read. There's banter, tension, wildness, danger. The way everything comes into play and pieces itself together like a puzzle is beautiful.

Characters
Cressida's growth in this, it's amazing. The way she slowly finds herself, slowly gets her backbone. Although annoying, sometimes even straight up stupid, I really liked her. Definitely a badass by the end of the book. I love King Kyle Garro. Everything about him just draws you to him, even though he's fictional. I wanted to walk right up to him and become his friend. He's soft and sweet, but also dangerous and brooding when need be. Their love story, even when it was infuriating, was beautiful and heartbreaking. Their connection makes you want to sit and watch them be in love, holding hands and laughing. Simply enjoying their life. I hope to see more of them in the series.

Overall Opinion
I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. It has definitely been a while since I stayed up all night, and yes, literally till the sun came up the next day, to finish a book. It drew me and held on for dear life. Much like King did with Cress. The romance, the spice, the conflicts. It was all so amazing. I absolutely love the found family in this book. It was beyond heartwarming. I just wish that it was told from both character's perspective. But I digress. Definitely cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
