Loved the first half to 2/3 of the book; thought it was a fascinating commentary on today's networking-site obsessed culture. Then, it went all adventure-book and strange sci-fi on me which just wasn't as good. Too bad.
My favorite of the Uglies series. Much more relevant to real life, imo. It really got me thinking. Especially with social networking so huge. It was nice that Tally had a smaller part in this book. I just don't like her very much...but I was happy with her ending.
I was a bit dubious at first, what with this book being set after the original trilogy, but I really enjoyed the characters and the plot - for the first half of the book. I felt the ending was too overcrowded with ideas, and didn't really like how it did end, but despite this I did enjoy reading the book as a whole.
Average but better than the original trilogy. Still problematic AF.
Great follow up. I loved the new characters and instantly felt attached to them.
Reread. I liked this a lot more than I remember. The “face rating” system is eerily more accurate with the way YouTube ended up being since this was originally published. The final conclusion to the plot feels a bit wacky, though, even for the Uglies world.

It wasn’t even that I didn’t like this one, it was just genuinely not a good book and not necessary. Also Tally sucked? Just no.
I liked how this had new main characters, but it still had the old.
