Now I have read a lot of pretty gay books in my time but Jay's Gay Agenda has to be by far one of the gayest! This book is colourful., lighthearted and fun but it also spotlights so many human flaws and qualities that it allows itself to still feel down to earth and real. Jay massively fucks up and he continuously fucks up but what makes his redemption work is that he doesn't want forgiveness because he feels bad but because he sees that he has hurt the people he cares about and he holds himself accountable for his mistakes and outwardly owns up to what he's done and that alone is the core of this book. Jay’s Gay Agenda has got it all, fun writing, compelling and loveable characters but what it has going for it the most is its honestly and vulnerability and how Jay learns that trying to get someone to only see the parts of you that you want them to see will only hurt all of you in the end. I have loved every moment I got to spend with these characters and I hope other people can find as much joy in this book as I did!
