Beautiful and sad insight into Dalair's past and present. I loved every scene with "Amon" and Dalair's reaction and confusion. Lol A certain "Oracle" deserves so much retribution for the torment she has created and caused. Delair is a warrior's warrior though and the final fight scene is heartbreaking because it came so close, though I doubt she would have allowed it any other outcome.

Please tell me that I will get a giant ass book all about Dalair? Don't get me wrong, I love his novellas but they are way too short. I fly through them and I'm left with wanting more. So much freaking more. Pretty please tell me it happens?

Pure Providence dives more into Dalair's background. Which hot damn - things got hot and spicy between him and Kira. The only downfall? He isn't exactly who she thinks he is. When they first met, he was pretending to be his twin brother. Who just happened to be her betrothal. Then on top of that, who he thought was the princess wasn't exactly the princess. So in a way the prince and princess are two peas in a pod due to having the same plan of being in disguise.

Either way, I ate it all up. I am also very intrigued that he now knows who the creature is. I feel like I'm getting closer and closer with little hints but I'm still not one hundred percent sure. As of right now, I feel like it's his twin brother - possibly. I honestly can't wait for future hints because I'm dying to know who the creature really is.

Besides that, I really liked how he still has Sophia on his mind. So I'm really excited for them to have another reunion. He just has to be out of his zombie mode before anything romantically happens again. I can't go through that situation one more time. They are slowly worming their way into my heart and I'm so proud of him breaking free of his commands once again.

I just hope that his plan works and he can stay behind enemy lines pretending to be a zombie. Please don't let anything bad happen to him. Pretty please?!?!

Okay I have only read the first book and then 6.5 prior to this novella because I am so intrigued with Sofia and Dalair. But I’m hesitant to start book 12 since it’s like one of the final battles (maybe idk how many books are left) and so I might be a bit lost when it switches POVs. But that’s a lot of freaking books to go through and I know they aren’t complete standalones. So I guess I’ll slowly read the whole series.

Anyway, I love when the men pine for the woman. And this is one of the best written ones yet though Dalair is a total idiot if honestly believes Sofia doesn’t love him. But learning about the past was very intriguing. However, I did think it would play out differently but it was still great.

Well i did not see that coming...... Wow i knew it was going to be good but.... WHAT!!!!

This is an extremely emotional peek at a part of Sophia and Dalair's Past, we see Dalair as a solider and why he is as stoic and reluctant as he is, his inner turmoil and how he sees the world behind Medusa controlled eyes.

The twist was amazing and so unexpected, i was whipped 5 ways to Monday by this book, its soft subtle but shows true depth and trust between characters... The story still isn't clear but gives the reader hope yet for this extremely lost couple.

From this series Dalair has to be my fave and my Ultimate book boyfriend.... love him!

Dalair ... I am both enamored, and frustrated with this character. I absolutely loved glimpses into their Persian time together. I really can't wait for him to get his act together, and beat Medusa's hold on him. The journey back to Sophia is going to be a wild ride ...

I truly do not know how Ms. James is able to create such an amazing world.
Even though this is fantasy, just like RL, her world is in a constant state of flux. Yet the foundations and threads she has created stay stable.

I have to admit she has outdone ALL my favorite authors. Every single one of them.
So often a series will lose its cohesiveness, especially in the paranormal & fantasy genres, as more books are added.

This does not happen with her books in this series. In fact, just the opposite.
Each new story enhances and adds more to the foundation of the original premise.
Each new story brings new clues to what else is a part of this intriguing world.
Each new story brings new layers that build on the original world she has created.

Dalair! This is his pov. It starts us where she left off in the last book. Then it takes us on a journey of his life and brings us to the now.
It is heart wrenching.
It is Beyond amazing.
It will make you a part of his world.

You will feel so connected to him you will feel like you are there with him. You will cry for him. You will cheer him on. You will feel his strength and determination.

And in the words of Dalair, "This is the end of the beginning of our story. It is not the end. It is only the beginning."

P.S. I think Ms. Aja James is a thaumaturge.

As expected this was heart wrenching. We finally get to see Dalair's point of view in all of this. He didn't disappoint at all though i wanted to cry through most of it. I'm sure there is more to the story (with this series i've learned not to be certain about anything) but i'm satisfied for now. A scene from Pure Awakening is shown in a better light here and i'm thankful.
