This book was divided into three mini stories below I will review each one.

Spottedleaf's Heart

This book was very romance based. Which was kind of annoying to me someone who isn't that big of a romance novel person, but the writing was definitely the best. It embodied the Erins' idea of dark fantasy. The relationship between Thistleclaw and Spottedpaw was creepy. It was weird since Spottedpaw was much younger than Thistleclaw, but I don't think she loved him the way that we love people. I think she idolized him since he was a great warrior and since as Goosefeather says her heart was blind she mistook that for love. She loved him the way we love our favorite celebrities. Also age differences for cats are different than age differences for people. However I did feel that this story took away from the caring nature that we see of Spottedleaf in the other books.

Pinestar's Choice

This was my least favorite book of all the three featured in Legends of the Clans. I was hoping that it would show a side of Pinestar that we had never seen. Something that showed him not as cowardly. No all through out the book Pinestar was a coward. Especially when it came to his son. It makes you say no wonder Tigerstar went bad. Also it was just boring.

Thunderstar's Echo

This story had the best plot. It was beautiful and fun to go back to Dawn of the Clans to see what happened afterwards. My only complaint was that it felt a bit rushed and that they didn't put enough detail into it.

I have loved the warrior cats series as soon as I got the first book, and I feel immense loyalty to the series, so though this may be a bit unfair I give all the books in the series 5 stars. If you looking for my honest rating I would probably give it a 3.5 stars. It is still I good read and I would recommend it to anyone who has read the warrior cat series (cause if you haven't read the series you would be completely lost in the book).

why am i still reading these

Spottedleaf's Heart- 1 star. Whomstever's idea it was to put the subject of pedophilia in a children's book needs a decent cornobbling. Full review at: https://skybookcorner.blogspot.com/2020/04/book-review-spottedleafs-heart-by-erin.html

Pinestar's Choice- 4 stars. The most interesting out of all of them and really made me enjoy Pinestar's character. Full review at: https://skybookcorner.blogspot.com/2020/10/book-review-pinestars-choice-by-erin.html

Thunderstar's Echo- 3 stars. The least interesting out of the three in my opinion. Thunderstar's character still doesn't really do much for me, but there were some touching scenes and a bittersweet ending. A decent short story if you wonder how ThunderClan is doing post-Moth Flight's Vision . Full review at: https://skybookcorner.blogspot.com/2021/06/book-review-thunderstars-echo-warriors.html#more

I've reviewed all of the novellas in here (Spottedleaf's Heart, Pinestar's Choice, and Thunderstar's Echo) separately, as I read them in their chronological order within the rest of the series. I really enjoyed Pinestar and Thunderstar's stories, but Spottedleaf's was a disappointment. This is fully getting 4 stars for the other two stories.

This was a quick read, as the novellas typically are. They feature short stories centered around one cat. This time, they feature Spottedpaw/leaf, Pinestar, and Thunderstar. I will review each novella separately, but they are all included in the paperback.

Spottedleaf's Heart
This novella is probably the most notorious in the Warriors fandom right now, and for good reason. However, I may be in the minority when I say I enjoyed it. I do not get easily triggered by books, but I have seen reviews from other fans saying that this novella was too much. Without giving anything away, I'll just say there is a relationship in which an adult cat and a very young cat are in love. If that does not bother you, I would recommend reading it: the relationship does add some new information about old characters. I do think that the relationship was unnecessary, and Spottedleaf is one of my least favorite cats, so I give this one a 3/5.

Pinestar's Choice
I was not expecting to enjoy this one as much as I did. This instantly became one of my favorite novellas of the series. I haven't been affected by a Warriors book in a long time, but this one left me sad for some time. I felt neutral about Pinestar before, but this book changes everything. Please read this, especially if you enjoyed Bluestar's Prophecy. For me, this one was a 5/5.

Thunderstar's Echo
This one felt like Moth Flight's Vision to me - a little rushed and just an excuse to go back to the DOTC era. I loved DOTC, but this story was kind of...boring. It is a little sad at times but it is also repetitive. It's a bittersweet story so I recommend it, but nothing really moved me about it. I give it a 3.5/5, or maybe a 4/5. I literally wrote this review right after reading it, so maybe I will think about it more before bed and actually realize I liked it. Who knows.
