3.8 AVERAGE

Hot and steamy, touching storyline, somewhat unbelievable that one can drink that much alcohol and not be dead....and ALL the hot marines? And she gets to snuggle with almost all of them? Take it for what it is though, and enjoy the sparks of chemistry between Izzy and Axel.

2.5

I get the possessive thing but I didn't like Axel.

No one immediately heals from nipple piercings.

So within a week or so from being beaten to the point of being in the hospital with a swollen eye we are having aggressive make out sessions being help up against the wall. Ow.

The writing was a bit out of order ish. IT stopped the emotional flow.

DID NOT FINISH

DNF at halfway.
I just really... really hated it.

I gave it a 3.5 rating. A great read. Not going to lie was very frustrating up until the middle/ end because it took them FOREVER to get together and when they did it seemed rush after that. I would sometimes forget that Isabella was 30 because she acted like a teenager at times, and I wanted to say snap out of it and put your women pants on, especially when she basically turned her back on Greg! I mean come on he has been there for you in the darkest moment in your life and you throw a hissy fit because he was man enough to know what she needed! That is what made Izzy one of my least favorite females lead. At the same time she had a tough life so I guess certain actions were okay. Now Axel! What a man! He made the book in my opinion. At least with his anger he still wanted to talk it out but Isabella kept on running and in all honesty the book would of been way better if it focus on them rebuilding and communicating instead of the whole cat and mouse game. All in all a good read.

2.5 stars. This was painful to finish. I could not believe I was reading a book about 30 year olds. Because every single character seemed to be so immature I would have sworn this was a bunch of college kids with the dialogue they have. I swear every time someone called Izzy 'baby girl' or 'girl' I got a headache from rolling my eyes so hard. To be honest I think Brandon was my favorite character,at least he was believable.

This book had the potential to be a 5 star read for me....and, it was at first. I can only handle so much crying, tantrums, and "poor me" behavior. Izzy had good reason to feel like she was handed the short stick but this went on until 60% of the book. It would have been much better if this behavior had only been about 20% of the book. She doesn't forgive and move on until over 1/2 the book is finished. No intimacy with H until 60% either. I enjoy a book more when they get together sooner then tackle any issues (like Brandon) together. I felt the writing was actually good but editing was lacking. Edit issues don't really bother me but felt it needed mentioning.

Some parts came across as too unrealistic for me. For a guy in charge of a security company, he seemed to make some questionable decisions. For a girl who has suffered through a bad marriage and rough teenage years, she is weirdly paranoid about some things but not at all paranoid about others. I just thought she had a few issues discerning what is a reasonable conclusion to draw from certain events that have happened. This is all really hard to mention without giving away spoilers. But these unreasonable things just caused extra drama that I didn't think had to be in the story and made it seem more "high-school". These characters didn't act like they were 30 years old.
Still, it was an enjoyable read. I don't know if I will continue with the series, but this was a nice little read. Just don't expect surprises, because you should be able to predict most of the book.

i found this book....well i have no words i loved it the emotions i felt reading this book i love all the characters and i loved the ending one of the best i've read...it has made me very happy can't wait to start on the next book with greg 3

I really wanted to get into this book, but I just couldn't. I ended up having to abandon it. No matter how much I read, Axel just became more and more unlikeable, and the story just seemed very cliche and bland. If you like really cliche stories, this might be for you. If not, you probably won't like this one.
