This was a fun, sweet read. Nothing groundbreaking or particularly enthralling, but the author does the world and character building well considering the shorter format.

4/5 stars
moderate spice
- quick and fun read
- magic, Godesses, and a steamy romance
-undying love
- fun heroine

After being caught by a young man, taking her far from her home, the Goddess of Spring's powers are lost and she is forced to live as the ward to a powerful family. She falls for her captor, growing up alongside him, and soon joining him on a quest to save the kingdom and free themselves from loveless and arranged marriages.

This is a really fun novella and a fiery romance. I loved Rain and Daric's love story, it's heartbreaking and legendary, and their adventure through Leathen is a fun read.

A cute, quick, romantic fantasy read.

I actually really enjoyed this and was a little sad that it was over so quickly. I was easily draw into the story and the characters. Since this is a short story I think that the amount of world building and character development (at least for the MMC and FMC) was enough. It was certainly enough for me to become invested into the story and the characters outcome. The romance which is friends to lovers, I felt was done well and even included a taste of spice.

This was such a delightful read. A lot of emotion was packed into this short, but intense story. The ardent passion between Rain and Daric was always there and tempered somewhat by the sadness of Rain's situation and the drought that was plaguing the land. It was a quick read that I just couldn't put down. The fantasy world was explained more than adequately for a novella, though there were some parts that I had questions about.

How can a novella be so sad that it made me cry?!
I almost thought there wasn't going to have a happy ending and my heart didn't take it well. That part was SO SAD!

Eh, it wasn't the greatest thing I've ever read. I kind of thought some parts were boring and just way to easy and simple.
I didn't really feel a connection to the characters, but what world building there was in such a short Novella I found interesting.
I liked the magical concept that all magic tastes like rot and can rot you from the inside making the spell caster insane eventually.
Maybe if there was more to the story, I might have liked it more. Possibly.
