The MMC was ANNOYING?? And was so back and forth with being “dark and mysterious” but also bends for the FMC then swaps back again in a second. Just couldn’t take the constant switching. And the FMC was unfortunately also annoying to me. Sorry to the author, but I may try again just not their dark romances.

Dark and Dangerous and Oh So Good

This one was so captivating. Finally a FMC who is not a complete idiot that can’t see what’s happening right in front of her face. Maras character is smart and sassy and determined. She’s truly a female you want to route for. Cole was awful and amazing! I can’t wait to read book 2!

I listened to the audiobook.
I love it. It's different and intense. And I very much liked the FMC. After reading this first book I think I know where the story is going and I am very curious about how this all will unfold. I'm trying not to have any expectations for the second book but it's hard. I'm counting on some kind of plot twist or something, I want to be shocked and say “I didn't see that coming”!

It was a dual style of narration (where female and male voices don't overlap in a chapter) and even if this is not my favourite style I like it in this audiobook. The narrators did a great job with their acting skills. It amazes me how they can modify their voices in a way that while listening to it it's like listening to a multicast narration. Add to it all the emotion and sounds, it was like watching a movie. I could clearly see every scene in my head.
