I think for the thriller aspect, this book was really great, it definitely has parts that had me anxious to read (in a good way.) It unfortunately also had a lot of parts that made me cringe to read.  I just think a lot of the spicier chapters were super unrealistic in a way that actually made them unenjoyable for me.  All in all it’s not the *worst* or the best, I started off really liking it and i found myself coming back to it but i’m unsure if i’ll buy the second book.

I fucking LOVE this book; not to fast and not to slow with the burn. its dark, sexy, sensual; it is beautiful in a dark-twisted way.
I love the fact that Sophie Lark made the MFC damaged but not broken. I love how she portrays her as someone who SHOULD be a damsel in distress, yet she's a realistic, badass bitch.
This book is STEAMY and definitely for ages 18+ and I loved every last bit of it! It is definitely now on my "rereads" and "Favorites" shelf. And the amount of "WTF" and "OMG" tabs I have tabbed this book with, is UNREAL.
Warning: It is NOT for the weak hearts, and not for someone who enjoys the happy, cozy, lovey-dovey, romance. But for the people who understand damaged and broken and still get by with their day-to-day, mundane, lives. CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE DIVING IN! Dont forget that it is about 2 serial killers and Mara DOES have her eye on one.
5 star read, EASILY.

Not my style of book. I barely looked it up before deciding to start it. I found the start confusing, and then it was simply not my style. The writing of the book itself is good, and I’m sure others who like these darker books would like it too.
If I could rate it, I would still rate it pretty high. I’ve read worst books. I just don’t personally like it
