4.5/5! I loved this!!! I felt like the beginning was a little slow but once we got about 1/4 of the way through this really flew. As per usual I love a book with multiple view points. I never know who to root for as things kept changing towards the end. I really didn’t see a lot of the twists coming and just as I thought I had it all figured out I would be shocked again. This was a great who done it and would highly recommend on audio as they did a great job

This was a great book! The story was engaging. It kept me wanting to read more. There was some funny banter. The story flowed very well. The twist and turns were added seamlessly without forcing the story. I really enjoyed the way the author wrote in the different timelines. It was easy to write back and forth without getting confused. He was very smart in dropping little hints here and there that wrap up the story perfectly in the end. I loved it!!

Look Closer by David Ellis was so highly recommended on Instagram and tiktok that I had to read it. Did it live up to the hype? For the most part YES. These characters are diabolical, and the twists are insane. But it took 200 pages for the book to pick up for me. I thought the beginning was really slow. So slow that I almost didn’t even finish the book. But I pushed through and I’m glad I did because WOW. Things are not what they seem in this book and once you think you have it all figured out BAM, you’re thrown off the path and thrust into a new one. This is an edge of your seat, twisty cat, and mouse game and once it picks up it does so at a high rate of speed. I finished this 450+ pages in under 24 hours. The author is clearly VERY clever because writing a book like this cannot be easy. So, kudos to him. I can’t wait to read his newest one soon!
