Highly recommend listening to the audiobook for this because Dan Stevens does such a good job of making Victor sound like the pathetic little bitch that he is. I could practically feel Mary Shelley being cosmically fed up of wilting violet aristocratic men needing to be bedridden for 2-3 months every time they encounter a fright.

I finally got round to reading it after seeing a stage version. Once I'd got through the slightly tedious first chapter I really enjoyed this book. I was nice to see how the true ideas of Frankenstein and his monster differ from those seen in modern adaptations and cartoons.
