I listened to the audiobook and the narrators did a great job. Another hilariously entertaining book in the Momcoms series.

Um, ok.

Look, all i ask in a romance book is for the fmc and the mmc to spend time together, have chemistry and tension.

Sure, family and chaos and other shenanigans can be part of it, but when we're getting everything else BUT the main couple, this is no longer a romance book.

Plus this was slow burn, so...

Mother Maker is the second book in the Momcoms series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Cortney is a catcher for a professional baseball team owned by Beckett (MMC from Mother Faker). Dylan is a stay-at-home-mom who also takes care of her friends’ kids, and she’s a homeschool teacher. Dylan and Cortney have a one-night stand, and when she ends up pregnant, Cortney moves in with her and the eleven other people she lives with.

Cortney was so sweet and swoony! Dylan’s fifteen-year-old son, Liam, was very opposed to Cortney, and he definitely didn’t give Cortney an easy time. But Cortney didn’t back down. He worked hard to be accepted. But his love for Dylan? The way he watched out for her and cared for her

God I love this series so much. It’s so perfect.

This was such a cute story! I loved getting to see more of the personalities of each of the characters in this series.

That moment our eyes met, I swore the universe was pointing a huge flashing arrow above Courtney's head that read this guy.

Loved being back with the moms, the kids, the house and the raccoons - and Courtney Miller was a great addition, and fitted in so well.
His determination, loyalty and pursuit of Dylan was amazing, and I really loved the two of them together.

Tropes:
Single mom x baseball player, found family, accidental pregnancy, forced proximity (one bed), he falls first.

ARC review:
Such a good romcom. This is book 2 in the multiple author series ‘Momcoms’, about 4 single mom best friends who all live together and raises their kids together. In this book Dylan, a stay-at-home single mom to 15-year-old Liam, has a one night stand with Courtney Miller, a veteran baseball-player that has just been traded to Boston. This results in an accidental pregnancy, and Courtney is insistent on moving in with Dylan (and the rest of the mom-com) to help with everything.

There was a lot of laughs, so many funny moments, pranks, and such good banter, as well as wonderful chemistry and attraction, a budding romance, and some serious swoon. I really enjoyed this book a lot. Courtney and Dylan are so good together; in some ways they are opposites, but they definitely have similar energy, and both share a lot of values and personality traits, and I just adored them together so much.

The way Courtney was so totally swoon-worthy in his pursuit of Dylan (and her family) and his belief in them was everything. Dylan was also such a great character. Having met her in the first book, I already adored her, but now getting to know her really well, and seeing a bit more depth and what insecurities she hides, it was just great!

I really enjoyed the found family aspect, all the kids, the banter, the true and real friendship between the moms, seeing Beckett (the hero of book 1) being involved in the chaos, and especially the way Courtney was with Liam - just a very wonderful story. It was also great with a baseball-player and the whole sports-aspect of this story.

Also, the romance and the spice were top-notch. With them having a one-night stand, there was obviously spice in the beginning, but I really liked how the relationship progressed naturally and seeing them forming a close bond and navigating their new reality.
