Cortney is a baseball catcher who is very superstitious and he has rituals he does that he thinks help him be a better player. Like he puts his left shin guard on first then his right one.
Dylan just needed one night away from the home that is in desperate need to repair that her three best friends and seven kids share.
When Coutney’s lucky socks went missing from the locker room after a game. He went to the team owners home to get them back but no one fessed up into taking them. When Dylan finds them in the laundry room she grabs them and slips out of the house. She found Cortney and gave him back his socks. Now they are back at his place and they are drinking. After a drunken fun filled night and with the understanding that this was going to be a one night thing, the universe had other ideas when she is now staring at two pink lines. All she wants to do is co parent and not get into anything too series but Cortney had other ideas.
I love this book just as much as I loved the other two that I have read in the MomComs series. The banter is off the charts. I laughed so many times while reading this book. I even cried a little. Cortney was a good match for Dylan’s free spirited soul.

Dylan and Courtney and just adorable. How much Courtney cares and instantly wants to be there to support Dylan, their baby and her son is amazing. I was really worried about a third act breakup, but shouldn't have been, because Dylan is so self aware she'd never not speak to Courtney about what's going on with her.

PS I broke Liam’s rule, but I have faith in you.

The universe will provide

This is the second book in The MomComs series and it was impossible to put down.  Jenni did an amazing job with Dylan and Courtney.

When a one night stand turns into so much more, you can’t help but go along for the ride.  With her complete faith in the universe Dylan knows what she wants and who she wants it from, and lucky for her he’s 6’6”, with Thor like hair, a little OCD, a lot of patience, oh and the inability to stop himself from loving her, with her wacky ways and her crazy family.

This story was a fun read, I loved so much about it.  I can’t wait to read the next one in this series!  Don’t miss out on these, start with Mother Faker and you can thank me later !!

"My friends and I made a pact last year. We'd committed to living in this brownstone and raising our kids together. It had gone great for a few months before Liv had fake married her boss. What Liv didn't know was that Beckett had other plans. Some half-baked idea to pawn Delia, Shay and me off on other guys. "

This is Dylans, book in the MomCom series. Dylan is one of four best friends who share a 4-story brownstone in Boston and raise their 11 kids together. Dylan, otherwise known as Dippy Do (a nickname bestowed upon by Beckett- Bossman) is the character I was most looking forward to reading after being introduced in MotherFaker by Britanee Nicole. Dylan is a free spirit, colorful energy woo-woo type of woman. Some would describe her as weird, and she is but only if you don't understand her. I feel like her and I were cut from the same cloth, so I found her to be incredibly lovable. And I loved even more that she was unapologetically herself, 100% of the time. Which is why I was so excited for this book. For whatever reason I see Dylan as a mix between Drew Barrymore and Kat Dennings, if you know who those celebs are.

Cortney Miller (otherwise known as Man Bun) is a catcher who was recently traded to the Boston Rev's after playing the last decade in New York. He struggles with crippling anxiety and has found ways to keep it in check which makes him very regimented and analytical. He comes from a well to do social elite family in NY and is expected to take on the family business after he retires from baseball. Thanks to some heavy and probably expensive meddling on Beckett's part, Cortney finds himself in Boston and enamored by Dylan.

A one-night stand turns in to a whole lot more, very quickly. Cortney stole the show, unexpectedly for me. He was so thoughtful and quietly won over everyone in the house, including Dylans teenage son, Liam (otherwise known as Demon Spawn), probably due to his anxiety. He is a people watcher and is overly analytical, but he uses his powers for good. The way he singlehandedly dismantled every mom's walls and found a way in was impressive to say the least.

Without giving spoilers, the part that had me team ManBun all the way, was the scene where they are at a gala with Cortney's family and Dylan's feet hurt. Knowing she was stressed about making a good impression he takes off her shoes and throws them away. When she said I can't go out there like that, he asks why. And she looks over, at the table and notices that he and his entire family are all without shoes. It melted my heart so fast.

"I'd burn the world down for you if that's what you needed."

There is just so much character built into this story and into this group of friends, it impossible to not feel like you are one of the crew. Especially with the pranks Man Bun and Bossman start pulling with the slew of kids. The entire story/ series is so endearing. And if you're a mom and you've ever contemplated starting a compound, for lack of a better term, with your friends, you will feel so seen. These stories are bringing to light, just how much we were made to have a tribe. The old adage of it takes a village is the overall theme and I am here for it.

Another stellar book in this series! I absolutely loved that I got to continue to read about all of the wonderful women and people we met in Mother Faker while still getting introduced to other characters and focusing on a different mom from the Momcom.

And if you thought you loved Beckett like I did? Cortney will make you swoon. THIS MAN. He is so good to Dylan (who I LOVE, mind you), and I just absolutely love his personality and quirks. I feel like he and Dylan are such a good match, and his family is amazing.

I just cannot say enough good things about this book, and it got me so excited to read the next one!

loved every minute of it

Do I have a soft spot for blonde cinnamon roll softies and vibrant but still chaotic energy main characters? Yes, yes I do.

I’m loving this series, hilariously good, sweet and spicy. The MomCom universe has my heart. I want to know more about Shay and Delia’s love stories and how the brownstone manages to hold so many people in it
