I can't keep reading this. I love a good single parent trope but not this. I don't like the writing, I can't connect with the main characters at all.

Perhaps I'll pick this up again in the future but now I have to dnf

Okay, how is it that I like this book more than the last? SO GOOD! Dylan and Cortney are absolutely made for each other and are 100% the best together. How Cort handled all of the kids was so heartwarming. I really do enjoy Dylan's outlook and perspective on life, even if it is a little far-fetched for myself. I also thought it was refreshing how Cortney's family was accepting of Dylan right away and stood up for her against her shitty baby daddy's family. F*ck him and them by the way. How quickly Cortney decided Dylan's teenage son was his, too? Heartwarming. All in all, love the book. 10/10 would recommend. I could list some of my favorite parts, but then you'd be here all day ;)

I am convinced there is no man more perfect than Cortney Miller after reading Mother Maker. That man is pure gold. From the minute Cortney laid eyes on Dylan across the team room after his baseball game, he was a goner. The free-spirit "the universe has plans for everything" single mom, Dylan, couldn't have seen him coming with all the crystals in the world. Dylan's universe had plans for her alright...her drunken one-night stand with the hot baseball boy with the man bun and bitable butt, ended up changing her life forever in all the best ways. You will laugh out loud, swoon, and sigh in pure joy for this couple as they navigate the implications of their surprise, their fast developing feelings, and the craziness that is their family in the falling down brownstone. Jenni Bara made me fall in love with this couple and I was not ready for their story to end. I hope to see more of them in the remaining Momcom books. This is an absolute must read, 5 stars+. It was so good I read it in one day! I didn't want to put it down or have it end.

ARC kindly provided for the author in exchange for an honest review

I think that after the second book it's safe to say that this series was the best idea the authors could have come up with! Mother Maker was even funnier than [b:Mother Faker|198247815|Mother Faker (The Momcoms, #1)|Brittanee Nicole|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1705436779l/198247815._SX50_.jpg|201093578], if that's possible, Dylan & Cortney have a more than adorable love story, they melted my heart and I loved reading their story from start to finish, plus, [a:Jenni Bara|21723606|Jenni Bara|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1628715640p2/21723606.jpg] let us see more of the characters in this series, and more of her own characters, which made me want to read them all.

Dylan is officially my favorite mom! A believer in letting life flow, that the universe has a plan, lover of quartz, aura reader, a woman who says what she thinks without filters, she's the funniest and has a personality adorably sweet. She has a 15-year-old teenage son, Liam , with whom she has a very peculiar but beautiful relationship and which made me laugh more than once throughout the book. Liam & Dylan have not had an easy road thanks to some people around them, but they both support and love each other unconditionally, and they have also decided to guard their hearts to avoid possible suffering, but that's VERY complicated when Cortney comes into his life unexpectedly.

Cortney is an experienced pitcher in the league, the new player for the Boston Revs and the man who is attracted to Dylan from the first time he sees her, he has an interesting story because he comes from a privileged family but he doesn't feel very comfortable in that environment, he loves baseball madly and is willing to keep Dylan & Liam in his life. Also, I loved reading a Cortney who can be clumsy when he is in front of Dylan, who is sweet, tender and vulnerable in front of the people he loves.

I fell in love with Dylan, Cortney & Liam so much! From the way the attraction between Dyaln & Cortney began, their first night together and the instant and particular connection that arose between them, the discovery of Dylan's unexpected pregnancy, the way Liam treats to protect his mom and how hard Cortney fights to win both of their hearts while trying to be there for their baby.

Adorable story.  Cortney is the best MMC, he loves Dyaln for who she is and goes out of his way to make sre that she is comfortable and cared for in ever way.  I love how he goes about making everyone in the brownstone love him.  Dylan is a corky, fun FMC.  I loved watching them fall in love.
