This book was super cute & quite funny.
I really enjoyed the dynamic of our two MCs.

Cortney is a baseball player nearing retirement that just got traded from NY to Boston. He's obsessive-compulsive, superstitious, and really anxious.

Dylan is a single mom to a teenager, and she believes in auras, energy, & fate. She's the stay at home mom of the mom community.

These two are so adorable together.
I feel like I say that a lot, but it's true.
I loved the pranks that the men played on one another. The Nair prank. The blue shampoo prank. I thought it was super fun & well done. It is very appropriate to have Liam involved.

I loved that these two kept with the hands-off pact for a lot longer than even I anticipated. The fact that Cort was overdressed for bed each night cracked me up. I love that they use the window as a primary source of egress.
I like that Liam & Cort bonded over pranks & cars. The whole shoe scene at the Gala made my heart MELT. It was so sweet!!!!

Overall - I loved this book

I loved it, devoured it would be right word maybe. I think if I read this book in about 8 months then I would change my rating to a 5.

Dylan has such a wonderful free spirited vibe that I lived getting to read. What her exes family put her through was awful and I’m glad Courtney could show her what it means to be accepted fully and loved because she deserved being the friend in the group who always tried to lighten everyone’s mood .

I loved how Liam was protective of his mom because he knows what they’ve been through. He might have taken it a tad bit too far than I would have liked but he was a teenage kid so I give him a pass.

Finally the man of the hour, Courtney aka Man bun. He was amazing through and through and I couldn’t find any genuine faults with him. Not many can so easily step into the role of being a father and step father but he took it all in great stride and I loved that about him. Even though Liam isn’t his son he went above and beyond to make them a family and so a 10/10 from me.

I loved how Bossman played a hand in all this and had now roped in Man bun as well. From Book 1 we already knew Beckett was great at getting what he wants and being a literal mastermind but it’s great to see him honing his skills here.

I am not the biggest fan of the accidental pregnancy trope, but this was amazing and so well written by this author! Cortney and Dylan were so good together, and I absolutely adored how he stepped up for her and her son, Liam. He went above and beyond and Cortney is just so swoonworthy. I really loved this story! The only reason I am taking off a star for this is because Beckett was the WORST in this book and it's unforgivable what he did to Cortney and taking that moment away from him. He was incredibly annoying in this book and it was very frustrating. Other than that, this book was incredible!

I enjoyed the characters and the hint of chaos in this book. It continued to have such a solid found family feel which I loved, I enjoyed how much all of their lives interconnected but they were all still distinct characters in their own right.

The way Cortney and Dylan interacted was delightful, they were sweet and wanted each other for who they were. They accepted each other's quirks and were quick to support each other and bring out the best in each other. They just had a good vibe together and I liked how much Cortney worked to make Liam like him and feel like they were a family.

I enjoyed seeing more of Beckett's meddling and how he's fully fit into the family now.

I wish we had seen more of the pregnancy journey and how Dylan and Cortney interacted throughout this, also it would have been lovely to see them as a little family once the baby had been born but nevermind, maybe we'll see more of that in the following books.

I am in LOVE with this ducking series yall!! I love how all of these ladies have interweaved (interwoven?) so many worlds and characters into this series and then created new series within this world. As a certified series addict, I am in awe! The banter is top notch. The spice scenes are wonderfully delicious. The buildup is great. How the women are all there for each other- it's just so great. I laughed and swooned while reading this one.

We knew sparks were going to fly with Cortney and Dylan at the end of book 1. I am looking at you Beckett and all of your scheming and how it is paying off LOL. I loved Dylan's quirkiness and how she just took what she wanted which was a one night stand with the hot catcher for the Revs. She leaves at the end of the night satisfied, but Cortney finds himself unable to stop thinking about her. He wants more- he wants to get to know her. He is intrigued like he has never been before, and when he finds out she is pregnant he is happy. Dylan expects him to only want to be involved peripherally so she is pleasantly when Cortney asks to move in. He wants to be there with her as much as he can during the season.

So they do it. He moves in. She resists her attraction to him. She can't want more. She has been hurt before from a family with money. She knows how this will go. Except Cortney keeps surprising her. He clearly is also attracted to her. He is being a gentleman. He is trying with Liam (her son). They decide to not fight it anymore and really give their relationship a try. She freaks out though when his family wants to meet her. Not only do they want to meet her, they want her to come to a gala his mom is throwing. This gives her all kind of anxiety because of what has happened with Liam's dad but the entire Miller family proves her wrong- that scene made me SMILE so BIG.

This was a wonderful story! I loved the cast of side characters and have already bought the Fall Out. Jenni has a new series that follows the rest of the Revs' players. I also was intrigued to learn that some of the players Cortney met from his old team ALSO have books. The love that Cortney and Dylan ended up blossoming into was just beautiful. I love that he moved into the crazy house with her. That he never complained. That he was doing it to prove himself to her and to Liam and how it WORKED. I highly recommend this series if you haven't started it yet!
