Dylan and Cort are amazing!! Becketts antics worked, but my goodness was it a disaster at first!!! I love how Cort accepted all of Dylan and her oddness. And his family too! His family is freaking amazing, and what they did for Dylan just perfection. Shows that not all rich people are stuck up assholes like Liams dad! And now they are all social pariahs, lol, which made me so happy! I can't wait for more of this series. Next book is Shay because that girl needs a freaking chill pill. I'm nervous about her book and Delia because they are my two least favorite! Ugh!!

Dylan & Courtney are fun characters. However, I was hoping for/expecting to see them go through more of the pregnancy than we did. This is an accidental pregnancy book, yet the pregnancy is pretty much nonexistent within the story other than it being the catalyst for their relationship. Aside from one or two very brief moments, we get none of the details you would usually associate with the trope this is marketed as which left me feeling disappointed.
It's still a good book, and I enjoyed it overall. It just didn't deliver the goods as far as an accidental pregnancy book should, in my opinion. I ended book 1 really liking Becketts character but some of his behaviour in this made me want to slap him upside the head and i would have liked to see more interaction between Courtney & Shayla,Delia, Liv, their kids and especially Liam Dylans son. This didn't give me the same found family vibes as book 1 did. Maxine & Teddy's performances were as always fantastic though. 🌶.5

Cortney and Dylan were so so cute. I loved watching liam's relationship with Cortney grow and become something really special. I also loved watching all of Dylan's fears be put to the side when she met Cort's family because they were just so welcoming and loving. And the dynamic between all of the moms and all of the kids is so sweet and funny. But I honestly think that the ending of this book was incredibly sped up. It seems like once Dylan met Cortney's family, it was just over then and that the author wanted to get it out of the way. And I don't like how the birth and willow's relationship was not shown whatsoever in this book. While this book was pretty easy to read and it was cute. I felt like it was missing so much to the point that it felt nearly and complete.

I liked the rest of the series but I didn't enjoy this one as much. I don't know if it was because the characters got shoe-horned into a hard-to-write trope but I struggled.
Dylan is the hippy one of the group of friends, trusts in crystals and the universe sending everything she needs her way. Like Cortney Miller, the baseball player from a well-to-do Boston family.
Dylan had a rough time when she got accidentally pregnant in her early 20's with Liam - his dad was from a rich family and they treated her like rubbish. But they did give her a pay-off that allowed her to start her own daycare business.
There's a lot about this book that annoyed me - Dylan's portrayed as a crazy earth mother but actually she's a successful business woman whose company continues to grow. She provides home schooling and child care for all the other kids which none of the other moms have to do but that doesn't seem to get recognised. There's minimal interact between the women in this book to the point you'd wonder how they were friends at all, never mind friends who live together and I really dislike what they did with Beckett's character in this book. I don't think he would have done that and he just came across as hateful.
I liked the character and think she deserved a better book.

The Momcoms 2
By Jenni Bara
Narrated by Teddy Hamilton, Maxine Mitchell
Get ready to laugh out loud and fall in love. This is the second book in the Momcoms series and it's like hanging out with old friends. This book features Dylan, the quirky one. She is so good, the kind of person that can drive you crazy with all the positivity she exudes. But there is something about her that drew me in and made me love her! She has a son, was a preschool teacher and now is the stay at home mom taking care of all seven of the children while the others are out working. A one night stand is something that she should be able to enjoy, and Cortney is the one she is going to sleep with. Drunk? Yes. But worth it? Yes. Now pregnant with the famous catcher, life is about to change. Cortney is intrigued with Dylan, ready to take on what life has brought him and moves in as the second man in the house! And now the laughs, the pranks, and the craziness begins. Love, love, love this story. Jenni Bari gives just the right amount of family and work antics to match the fantastic passion these two have. I loved every minute!
And enhancing the story is Teddy Hamilton and Maxine Mitchell. So many characters, from throwing their voices, to the kids to the adults, each brings the personalities alive! Cortney has a heart of gold, and Hamilton gives him just that! I knew from the start, he was going to bring all his warmth to the table. Mitchell plays Dylan with all the quirks as she reads the colors around each person and follows the path of the universe. It's a listen that made my ears happy!
