Sadly, I didn't get into this book until I was about 75% through.

I think this is my new favorite BDB book. I loved the whole thing.

Oh, BDB, how I love thee. I have missed this series so much! The quirky humor. The sexy, funny, dangerous, beautiful, crazy, strong vampires and their shellans who are all of that and more. The strong story and plot arcs, the different personalities that somehow work so well together.

While this is the 2nd storyline dedicated to this couple I REALLY enjoyed this book in the series. It was so lovely coming back to great characters and seeing what has developed for them in the authors’ mind. A great topic with similar elements of adoption with other characters thrown in towards the end. Intriguing to say the least.

Rhage, what more can one say. What a guy hmmm vampire. Can totally take a joke as good as he gives. LOVE it! Long live the Little Mermaid. And his (and his Beast’s) interaction with both Mary and Bitty is adorable. The underlying plot kept ticking away with hints of things to come. The build up of the character Lassiter certainly has me intrigued. Overall, a fabulous read in the series.

Not the best book in the series but not the worst. I enjoyed it but didn't love it. Not 100% sure we need to revisit Mary and Rhage but it was fun. The interactions between Bitty and Rhage were my favorite.
