This author as the unfailing ability to make you laugh out loud at some of the most outlandish things. This story is such a great way of showing the father take the front seat and responsibility. They have an unusual bond, but hilariously written. I think I laughed until I cried. The is some spying and evil doings but for the most part it’s a humorous romance that will put you in a great mood and wanting more. I really want to read Nick’s story now!

This is Book two in the King Brothers series.
Cade and Iris dated seven years ago, but then he put some pot brownies into her locker at school and she got kicked off the soccer team after a failed drug test. Together with Kira and Miranda she makes a pact of never dating a King brother.
Book one is Rich and Kiras story.
7 years later Iris is a small town cop and the King brothers just built their big offices in this east coast town they grew up in.
Cade is more of a goofball and seems a bit too immature, in my opinion and doubt Iris would fall for that, considering that her ruined her scholarship chances. I did like Bear and the others all have cameos.
Will read book three when available.

This was fun. It wasn't super epic or anything but I definitely enjoyed it.
Writing style: I really like Bloom's writing. It's easy to read, doesn't have too many details but does make sure you know more than enough. I also love that she manages to make her characters so three-dimensional without too much effort. So many romance books have underdeveloped characters or their personalities are inconsistent, or worse, the author keeps telling you what the people are like and how they look which makes it feel so forced. Bloom has the perfect balance and it never feels repetitive or over the top.
Characters: This was definitely a character driven story. Cade is such a great goofball you can't help but love. Iris gets so flustered when she's around Cade and tries so hard not to like him and fails miserably which is very funny to read about. And Bear... Oh what a sweetheart and he's for sure his father's son
