Thank you to Tor Nightfire for my gifted ARC of Jennifer Thorne's Diavola for review!
Anna and her family travel to the quaint village of Monteperso, Italy. Their choice of accommodation, Villa Taccola, is questioned even by the cab driver.
It seems La Dama Bianca inhabits the house. And quite frankly, she's creepy as all get out.
Diavola was a super-satisfying horror read. It not only employs unsettling, eerie imagery, but it's also darkly witty.
Haven't many of us experienced travelling with family and the associated drama? There are many noteworthy and realistic characters rounding out Anna's co-travellers.
If the ghostly apparitions don't deter you, Diavola also employs some beautiful descriptions of Italy's tourism sights.
Recommended!
For release on March 26.
