The longest time I've taken to finish a book, but between exams and work I didn't have a choice. I've just finished it and it's plot twists were good. I feel a little nauseous though. Good book.

Full of twists and turns, this book has the perfect mix of suspense and drama. While it followed the typical plotline of a great psychological work, it had its own unique aspects. I don’t want to give any spoilers away, but I will say that this book will keep you guessing. Just when you think you know who the bad guy is, you’ll have the rug yanked out from underneath your feet. The author was inspired by Gillian Flynn to write this piece and it shows.

Since I listened to the audiobook, I also got to hear Katherine Littrell’s smooth narration.

Fantastic story. Recommended to all Gillian Flynn, Ruth Ware, and Mary Kubica fans.

Wow was this book outstanding! I could not put it down and the twist at the end was one I did not see coming. The book and the ending was very satisfying.

Kim is a 28 year old photographer and professor at a college in Australia. Her life is a little lonely right now. Single, her mom recently died of cancer, she has her half sister but she feels alone and a little lost. One day a stranger from America shows up to her college campus during her lunch break and drops some startling allegations on her: she might really be Sammy Went, who was kidnapped in Kentucky when she was 2 years old.

Kim is reeling and doesn’t know what to believe, and definitely doesn’t want to believe her beloved dead mother was a kidnapper. The story unfolds, she ends up going to Kentucky to figure out what happened and the story is startling, riveting and kind of crazy.

The book is brilliantly paced, written well and creepy. Highly recommend!

Easy read, kept you wondering and wanting to keep turning the pages to find out what happened next!

Sammy Went disappeared as a little girl just over twenty years ago from Manson, Kentucky, and now Kim Leamy in Australia is being told that she is this missing child.

The Nowhere Child goes between present day and when Sammy goes missing, and tells a story that I sped through, wanting to know more.

Kim's journey to understand what happened, and meet her family is well told, with the pain of Kim's memories of her mother being betrayed, and Kim's Australian sister.

I really enjoyed this book, and thought it was paced well, with twists and turns throughout. If you enjoy crime or thriller novels, then you'll probably enjoy this!

The Nowhere Child was published on 22nd January this year, and is available on Amazon and Waterstones to pre-order, and everywhere else you can find books! I've found a link to where you can search for local bookshops, including independent!

I was given this book for free in return for an unbiased review, so my thanks to NetGalley and to Harper Collins (the publishers) for this book.
