I’m not a huge fan of an unreliable narrator. The insomnia, not knowing what’s truth, people lying. It made my head spin. I did enjoy the ending and it came together but it was a little predictable.

This book is basically an anti-thriller. The twist is that surprise! - everything is actually completely normal and the joke is on the reader for buying into it. Also, I can only speak for the ebook version, but the editing was horrendous. It was riddled with malapropisms, and I’m not sure anyone involved has fully grasped when to use a comma vs. a semicolon.

This should not have been marked as a thriller. Beyond boring with a terrible ending.

This book wasn’t what I expected. And intriguing premise, but the ending was a bit meh.

how was this even marketed as a thriller?? Also...it was all a dream?? Are you serious? That's one of the biggest writing cliches in the world.

Another great read from Mary Kubica that is really really good & compelling & engaging until the last ~3 chapters and then I just stopped caring. This one is hard to describe without ruining the “twist” but I’ll at least say that it was underwhelming for me. The entire book has a great slow build of chaos that kept the pages turning but ultimately it fell flat for me instead of ending in some satisfying, crazy way.
Technically, because of the nature of the twist, there are not loose ends to this story but as a reader who bought into the tale I feel a bit short changed.

I guess I forgot to rate this book and now that I'm looking back, I don't remember much about this book AT ALL. I'm sitting here scratching my head trying to remember anything about it and nothing is coming to mind. So, because of that, I'm going to give it 2 ⭐️s. If it had been any good I would've remembered something!
