The story in this book didn’t need all the witch garbage (which sounds EXACTLY like the author’s Last of the Moon Girls) in order to make it work.

A solid historical romance fiction with a pleasant amount of twists and turns and the predicted happy endings. The book is not too heavy on the historical fiction much more on the character development and relationships. I liked the story telling and alternating of the two characters story lines. Many twists were semi-predictable or hoped to happen but not all. About 1/3 of the way in I wasn’t sure how much more could happen or where the book would go. The last 1/3 I binged. The author did a great job of closing the book up nicely.
