The second book I’ve read in as many weeks that I would give 10 stars if I could. Seldom do I read 400 page books in two days but it just wouldn’t leave my hands. A highly recommended read.

This was a very enjoyable book to read. It was part historical fiction, part romance. I love the complicated relationships between women in this book that were portrayed so realistically, although it seemed like they were mended too easily at the end, like a neat little bow. Real relationships are a bit more messy, but it did still leave the heart feeling warm. Overall the happy ending was sweet and heart warming, if not a little “too sweet”.
I loved this book. It will be on my mind for a while. Top 10 of the year for me. ❤️

This was a good book. I'm not going to say it wasn't. The ending seemed a bit far-fetched and was a bit predictable.

I really adore Barbara Davis’s books. Sometimes you really really just need a happy ending. No matter what.
This book was fine, the writing was good but it was all just unbelievable. Things were a mess and then they worked out just fine and perfect with no effort at all. I just think women's fiction isn't really for me.
