This was a great book! I really enjoyed how it was a historical fiction from WWII and it was a great book about family, connections, love, and hope. And even through the challenges the characters faced it was a very inspiring and feel-good book with a happy ending.

A great WWll historical fiction novel that is set in 1985 and doesn’t spend too much time flipping back to the past. I loved how the story came together.
All the things I love in a dual timeline historical fiction. Love, people lost/found, redemption, a little mystery. This was an enjoyable, heartwarming read. I did find the family connection a little too convenient.

A good book and had I not read it directly after “The Echoes of Old Books,” I might not have noticed all of the similarities (echoes, war, time jumps, hidden pregnancies). Clearly the writer has a niche. If you suspend some reality, you’ll quite enjoy this book, as I did.
Did not like the narrators voice. It was a British accent and very hard to understand
