I love this cozy mystery series and this was a fantastic sequel.
It took me a minute to get into it and remember all of the characters. But once it got going, I was once again hooked and loved this installment in the series. These women are all so relatable and real. The mystery - as always, had deep meaning to those around and also great growth and family dynamics defined.

Vintage books that are part of a series with flowers decorating their covers keep showing up in random places in Miracle Springs. The name Hester has been cut out of the cover of The Scarlet Letter. And someone is trying to hurt people in Miracle Springs. Nora and Sheriff McCabe are trying to figure out if the books are related to their friend Hester, and if so, how and why?

I love this cozy mystery series- it’s filled with books, tea, friendship, love, and murder… What more can a gal ask for? 😂 If you’re a cozy mystery fan, I absolutely recommend this series (although I’m silly and accidentally started with the second to last book lol). Perfect when paired with feta cheese dip and pita crackers 😋 4 ⭐️
Although I enjoyed being with the society of friends again, for some reason this book seemed to have less emphasis on the mystery and too much on the way of filler details. It just seemed that maybe the author's heart and interest just wasn't there this time.
A sweet little cozy mystery with a bookseller as the main character. She recommends quite a few books through the story and it's so nice they are listed in the last few pages.
It's part of a series. This is the only one I've read but it stands alone.

The fifth book in this series picks up in a way that definitely would allow for a new reader to jump into the series here. This continues to not be my favorite of Adams’ series but this book is a solid 4 stars and one I enjoyed more than others. There are loads of good book recommendations and the female friendships really shine. Nora’s slow burn budding romance is a nice addition that doesn’t overwhelm the plot line. Looking forward to seeing where that goes in future installments.

This series is just an easy to read set of books. These ladies are dear, dear friends dedicated to each other. I see growth in the author as a writer with each book- more confidence better story cadence
I love books about books! I have read a couple, but not all four of the prior books in this series. Nora Pennington, the main character, is the owner of Miracle Books. She considers her best friends Hester, Estella, and June to be her family. She also has a close relationship with Sheriff Grant McCabe. In some of the other books I read, I was confused by some of things related to Nora's love life, so I was happy that questions I had have been cleared up.
In this installment, a man is found dead at the bottom of a gorge on a hiking trail with a rare book in his possession. Someone also seems to be harassing one of her best friends by leaving creepy messages through books. The ending seems a bit rushed, but I liked how things came together for the big reveal and enjoyed the book as a whole. This series is often classified as "cozy" but there is a lot of depth to the characters and some of the topics covered in the stories.
