This book is an adorable way to teach a lesson in looking past the material. Mooch tries to find his best friend the perfect gift, but his friend already has everything he could ever want. What is Mooch to do? Parents and children will go through his gift-giving quest together until Mooch arrives at the realization that the best gifts don't cost a thing and take a lot more time and effort than just stopping by a shop.

Adorable little book from the creator of the Mutts comic strip! I dig his art style a lot, especially in terms of facial expressions. McDonnell nails it!

This is a book I've read many times and I still love when you get to the end of the story and they enjoy nothing, together. It's just so lovely. It's this quiet, peaceful moment that is filled with love.

A friend gave this to me as a present and it has easily become one of my favorite books.
